Dear School Leaders,

Please allow me to share some of my thoughts pertaining to the leadership of Dr. Sandra Beauvior Soto. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Soto when she served as the founding Principal of the Brooklyn Arts and Science Elementary school (BASE). I supported Dr. Soto for the last seven of her ten years as the Principal of the school. There are many adjectives to describe the attributes of Dr. Soto as a leader. I believe that new and developing school leaders will value the support and insights that Dr Soto can offer. Here are some of the ones that I hold dear.

Dr. Soto has an uncanny ability to remain poised, even during the most stressful of periods. She possesses strong communication skills, as she has the ability to create And communicate a clear and cohesive school vision. She has a differentiated style of leadership, as she knows how to meet school stakeholders where they are which builds a supportive and collaborative school community. This is especially significant, as it relates to parents and community-based organizations.

Lastly, let me share that one of the main things that I admire regarding Dr Soto, is her ability to consistently navigate challenges with class and impeccable character.
