I’m Dr. Sandra Soto; consultant, writer and presenter.  For 25 years I worked with the New York City Department of Education as a teacher, staff developer and administrator.  My last 10 years with the DOE were spent designing and leading a new school as Founding Principal.   Starting as an inexperienced administrator, I negotiated a range of challenges, from racial integration to raising student achievement, all while building a dynamic and collaborative school culture.

At each stage of the leadership journey I discovered the transformative power of guided reflection and  effective strength-based coaching.  It was often the interactions with non-evaluative mentors that led me to the solutions I was seeking.  The practices I developed helped me to grow into the competent and confident leader I wanted to be for my community.

I founded ReflectEd to support you and your team with the hard work of education leadership.  Through the use of collaborative reflection tools, I can help you actualize your vision,  minimize resistance and craft an efficient plan to achieve your goals. I look forward to affirming your unique leadership profile and partnering with you to become the leader you want to be for the future of your organization.
